BETWEEN STILLNESS IS A DIALOGUE ABOUT NATURE & DECAY AND HOW THIS PROCESS HAS AN  INHERENT BEAUTY WE NORMALLY DISMISS. I USE COLOR, TEXTURES AND DIGITAL MANIPULATION OF FOOTAGE TAKEN IN NATURE TO BRIDGE THE GAP BETWEEN ABSTRACT GRAPHICS AND ORGANIC TEXTURES IN AN ATTEMPT TO SHOW THE OTHERWISE MUNDANE IMAGES IN A NEW CONTEXT. THE ELECTRONIC SOUNDTRACK CREATED BY VICTOR MELTON PULLS THE IMAGES  EVEN FURTHER INTO THE ABSTRACT WORLD, THE RULES FOR WICH HAVEN'T BEEN STABLISHED

This work has an unusual graphic dimension to it. It seems to exist in a boundary between the real world and some kind of dreamscape, like those fleeting flashes of a dream we try to hold on to once we are awake but continue to slip away because we can't describe that particular situation or feeling.  Maybe, if we could actually see those images, they might look something like this. At times mesmerizing and beautiful and still disturbing. They are frozen moments from within a story (movie), and then a detail within that moment that allows us to stop and look at a specific corner (area) that was not necessarily meant to be the center of attention but nevertheless has clues to the story. Clues that normally would go unnoticed...

BIO

Born in Venezuela and trained as a graphic designer in Buenos Aires, my journey has been shaped by a deep passion for visual storytelling. My journey as an artist began in Houston, where I became actively involved in the contemporary art scene, producing art publications, designing graphics for video, and participating in various gallery exhibitions. Moving to New York expanded my creative horizon—I collaborated on projects like a 12-minute video for the Vision Into Art Ensemble at the Whitney Museum of Art. Later, in Miami, I worked creating broadcast graphics and title sequences for major networks such as Univision and Telemundo, as well as the Miami Heat. Now based in Brooklyn, I practice merging art direction and visual artistry, producing compelling work for TV, film, and digital media, while also exploring the intersection of nature and technology through video art, photography, and illustration. Each project is an opportunity to blend organic elements with digital innovation, crafting a modern, striking visual experience that is uniquely a vision of my own.
